Andrea Petkovic has advanced to the round of last sixteen at the WTA-Tournament in Tokyo. The 23-year-old defeated former US- and French-Open-Champion Svetlana Kuznetsova of Russia 6:3 and 7:5 in the second round. Now Andrea faces sixth-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland.

"I played very well and I was able to cope better with the faster surface", Andrea commented on the match that had to be played indoors due to persistant rain in Tokyo. It took the players a one-and-a-half-hour odyssey through the Japanese capital to get there.
