Andrea Petkovic has reached the quarterfinals of the WTA tournament in Toronto. The 23-year-old German overpowered Wimbledon-Champion Petra Kvitova (CZE | WTA 7) 6-1, 6-2 in a one-sided match.
In the quarterfinals Andrea will face Agnieszka Radwanska (POL | WTA 12). The two recently met in the semifinals of the tournament in Carlsbad last week. Radwanska won that match like the other two encounters she and Andrea have had so far.
