Big challenge for Andrea Petkovic: The 23-year-old German will face Venus Williams (USA | WTA 32) in the first round of the WTA-Premier-Tournament in Eastbourne. Venus and her sister Serena are starting a comeback at the AEGON International after long breaks due to injuries. Curiously enough Venus played her last match in the third round at this year's Australian Open against Andrea and had to retire when the she was down 0-1 in the first set.
If Andrea advances to the second round, she will face the winner of the match Julia Görges against Ana Ivanovic, who both are good friends of her.
